Idea #15 in our Naturist Advent Calendar Driving is one of the many activities you can definitely do naked. You actually do not really need any clothing to drive. You just need to understand whether it’s legal or not in your country or state of residence, as the law may not be on your side. Actually, even if your car is a private property, you can be seen by the public and it may, therefore, be illegal to drive naked. In all cases, you will use a towel to sit on and wrap around your waist in case you are stopped by a police officer. Beyond the legal aspect, driving naked is like many other activities very enjoyable. No pants, no swimsuit, no clothes that limit your skin breathing and your movement. You are just free as a bird, and as you can regulate the temperature in the car, it’s always...
#14 in our Naturist Advent Calendar You are invited to a barbecue or pool party at one of your friend’s place. The weather is forecasted beautiful. What are you going to wear? If your friends are naturists and know you are one, your option to get naked is open. However, there may be non-naturist people at the event, and even naturists may feel uncomfortable. We’ll look into this in a moment. Now, if your friends are not naturists, your option to go naked is low. But, it’s not zero, it’s actually never zero until you ask. Because this is ultimately what it is all about: asking for permission to get naked! This may sound strange or awkward at first, but it will become a second nature as soon as you realize it’s totally appropriate, natural and normal! One of the best ways I found was first o...
Part 13 in our "Naturist Advent Calendar" One of the best ways to increase nude time and our nudist friends is, of course, to let acquaintances know that you are a naturist. For many reasons, it’s not always possible to shout out loud that we are naturist and we want to spend more time naked. We have seen in previous ideas how to leave traces of our nudism, like leaving our naturist publications openly on our coffee table. Another way is to hang a clothing optional sign next to your door, to your swimming pool if you have one or in your lounge. You will find those signs available on Internet. Just go to Amazon, look for “Clothing Optional Sign” and you have tons of options to chose from, including metal and wooden panels, some being really nice. I particularly like the Notice sign (the one...
This group site is dedicated to naturism and nudism, and only to those topics. You will find pictures of naked people, however, pictures are there to depict natural nudist activities. It’s not sexual, it’s not porn. Do not think you will find any porn or sex on this blog, it’s not what naturism and nudism are about. As per the International Naturist Federation, Naturism is a way of life in harmony with nature characterised by the practice of communal nudity with the intention of encouraging self-respect, respect for others and for the environment. Another definition I like is the one featured in The Complete Guide to Nudism, Naturism & Nudists Naturism is the enjoyment of getting as naked as possible, wherever and whenever appropriate, alone or with others, just for its own sake. So na...
I am a big fan of cruises, and they are gaining in popularity every day. Join naturism and cruise, and you get naked cruises. Some travel agencies specialized in naturist holidays are proposing those cruises that happen in the Caribbeans, the Pacific and on the Mediterranean. Of course, one of the immediate benefits of a nude cruise is the ability to be naked while on board during the whole journey. And since, it’s a nude cruise, you will be surrounded by like-minded people. The First-Timer’s Top 10 Lessons is a great article to get an idea of what to expect from the cruise. As the Bare Necessities travel agency states, “there are no strangers on bare necessities cruises, only friends you have not met yet.” And I would say this is mostly true of any nudist venue. Being with nudists for som...
As per the American Association for Nude Recreation, there are two types of naturist clubs: landed and nonlanded: “The landed club has its own grounds and facilities. It may be luxurious or rustic. Nonlanded club members often meet at a private home or somewhere in their community like the local health club. They may travel together to a landed club.” You can start your own club at home with a bunch of friends and plan naturist activities. It can be planning a week-end at a naturist club, a naked hike or a naked barbecue at your place. The idea of a nonlanded club is that you create an official naturist club or association that will help to organize more naked activities and regroup more naturists with a common goal. Creating such a group is easy and you can get more details with your loca...
#9 in our Naturist Advent Calendar Naturism and vacation go well together. A naturist vacation is generally called a nakation (naked vacation). Think about going to a warm area, in the middle of nature or on a tropical sea shore and not having to wear anything but your smile, and you will have a fairly good idea of what a nakation is. A while back I wrote 5 reasons why nakation is the best vacation. Those 5 reasons are more valid than ever. Enjoying no tan line is beautiful. However, having to spend time with like-minded people is probably the most enjoyable part of a nakation. In a naturist environment, everybody will be naked (although newbies can enjoy a first day clothed in some clubs) and you will be able to stay naked the whole holidays. And of course, you will make new friends who c...
#8 of our Naturist Advent Calendar Inviting some friends for a dinner? Why not inviting some nudist friends and have a naked dinner? You can also grab the opportunity to invite non-nudist friends and let them know there will be some nudists at the dinner and if they do not mind, this will be a clothing optional dinner! Nudist dinners are fun. The first good thing is that you do not have to care of what to wear. No formal suit, just your birthday one! Of course, you can always wear some nice jewelery, it’s a dinner and a perfect occasion to « overdress »! The second thing with is great about naked dinner parties is they are much more relaxed than clothed ones. By being naked, we know it will be a laid-back, cool and joyful moment among nudist friends. Of course, if there are non nudist to t...
#7 of our Naturist Advent Calendar If you like the #Nudist idea #5: Subscribe to a Naturist Magazine, then the next step is to share your passion for naturism, by letting your visitors read your magazines. And the best way, IMHO, to do this is to let those magazines on your coffee table for anybody to grab a copy. Letting those magazines and books (I’ll go over naturist books in a future post) openly available is a great ice breaker. Of course people who know you are a naturist will appreciate to have some topics to discuss, and people who do not know you are a naturist may be surprised by those copies, and this is where the rubber hits the road. And the question will pop up: are you a naturist? Your genuine answer will be yes, and you can start from there. One may argue that those publica...
We all know that for most of us nudists, sharing with non-nudists our love and passion for nudism is not always easy. However, it’s a necessary step for a wider acceptance of nudism in our society. We all should be ambassadors of nudism with our close circle of friends and family. But sharing this can lead to some very awkward moment, as nudity is really taboo for many people. Having said this, we need to acknowledge the fact that naturism is a legal lifestyle in most countries in the world that have a local naturist federation. And I would reiterate the advice to become of member of this federation, as it legitimates your status as a naturist. Of course, you do not need to be a member of your naturist federation to claim you are a naturist, but I personally found it helped. One way to bre...
#5 in our Naturist Advent Calendar: If you are a member of your national naturist federation, there is a good chance that you receive their publication, like for instance The Bulletin from AANR or Gonatural of the NZNF. However, this should not stop you subscribing to other naturist publications that exist, as shown in the post entitled 42 Naturist Publication: periodicals, although the list is far from being exhaustive. Let’s go through some I know. The first example that comes to mind is the Naturist Society N magazine. As it is described on the Naturist Society’s website, « The quarterly magazine N, the magazine of naturist living gives you the skinny on naturist news, views, and updates on the role of nudity across the globe. N offers readers a deftly balanced blend of timely news an...
#4 on our Naturist Advent Calendar: Some years ago, the Huffington Post published a list of 5 Epic Nude Runs That Would Knock Your Socks Off. If this list is a good start, there are ton of others naked runs, as seen in the Naked Running Races 2017 blog post. Not only running is a good exercise, naked running is even funnier! You actually do not need much gear to run naked. It’s therefore a great opportunity to visit a nudist resort and make new nudist friends. You can also propose the run to your fellow runners who happen not to be nudist. This is a way to make them discover nudism. All those naked runs are generally great fun, with a festive spirit and joyful crowd. If it happens in a nudist environment, grab the occasion to spend the whole weekend. If not, like Bay to Breakers for instan...
